JonMichael Redding drafted by Dodgers

Orlando -- Former Lowndes standout JonMichael Redding was selected in the 5th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The right-hander pitched for Florida Community College (Jacksonville) the last two years.

Redding finished 2008 with an 8-5 record, a 2.20  ERA, and 123 strikeouts in 124 innings pitched.

The former Viking has signed to play at LSU next year.
