Albany  - Assistant District Attorney Greg Edwards, 51, has worked in the Dougherty D. A.'s office since 1990.

As Chief Assistant, he now heads of the Organized Crime and Gang Task Force. 

"I want to continue as your District Attorney, making sure that victims of crime are heard," Edwards said.  "And making sure that everyone is treated fairly.  I've always tried my best to make sure that anyone charged with a crime understands that they are going to be treated with the utmost respect and fairness."

D. A. Ken Hodges is stepping down after three terms and is support Edwards.  

Albany attorney Ingrid Driskell is also running for D. A. in the July Democratic Primary.
