    Ravi Mikel Givens was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He is being held in the Dougherty County jail. Givens, who played ball at Westover and Stetson
    Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.

Albany - Starting Monday, people who want to vote absentee in the General Primary in July, may apply for a ballot.

A voter who will be out of town on Election Day, is 75 or older, is an election official, or will be on duty at a job involving public safety may apply for an absentee ballot and actually cast their ballot in person. You may also have an application sent to your home. Absentee voting begins 45 days before any election.

You may also vote the week before an election for any reason. For more information, call your elections office.
