Albany--A sendoff today for two of Georgia's most deserving beauty queens.

Both Miss Albany and Miss Albany's Outstanding Teen got well wishes as they prepare to represent the Good Life City at the Miss Georgia pageant in Columbus, later this month.

Kellen and Carly modeled some of the outfits for the up coming competition.

If Kellen is crowned Miss Georgia she will head to Las Vegas for the Miss America Pageant, and if Carly wins she heads to Orlando in August to compete for the national title.

"Personally I think we both have a great chance of winning the title, and it would be awesome if we both won so we can be sister queens again," said Carly Mathis, Miss Albany's Outstanding Teen 2008.

"My platform is establishing literacy as a value in every American home and I picked that platform because as you all know Albany sits at the hart of the eight poorest congressional district, and it's because so many adults in our region can't read," said Kellen Cooper, Miss Albany 2008.

The Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen Pageant is part of the Miss America Organization.

Each year, the Miss America Organization gives away more than $45 million in cash and tuition scholarship assistance.
