Albany --  The Deerfield-Windsor baseball team was beaten 14-4 in 5 innings against Tattnall Square Friday in the first game of the GISA Class-A Finals.

The Trojans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by a Randall Sheffield home run on the third pitch of the game.

The Knight's Evan Boyd scored on a wild pitch to close it to 2-1 in the 2nd, but it was all Tattnall from there.

The Trojans led 14-1 in the 5th inning, and DWS was unable to extend the game, scoring three times for the final margin.

Game two is Saturday at noon at Deerfield-Windsor.

Flint River scored in the bottom of the 7th to beat Westwood 5-4 in the Class A finals.

The Wildcats look to even the series Saturday at noon.
