Pavo man is sent back to jail after threatening deadly force
May 29, 2008
Albany- A Pavo man asked Congress for permission to use deadly force against an Assistant United States Attorney.
Not surprisingly, Timothy Scott Chastain is in jail in Albany.
Chastain was initially indicted in August for intimidating and impeding an I.R.S. agent by filing a false financial statement.
He was under supervised release when, prosecutors say, he filed a petition in court in Thomasville urging the court to investigate and arrest the U.S. Attorney General and Assistant United States Attorney Alan Dasher for violating state laws.
Chastain then sent a letter to Congress claiming because both broke federal laws he should be able to use deadly force to protect himself against them.
