Norman Park-  An evening of fishing takes a tragic turn in Colquitt County.

A 77-year old man drowned in a pond. Roy Cannady was fishing in the pond behind his house on George Etheridge Road last night when his small boat took on water.

It sank and he drowned. Investigators say his wife and daughter found his body in the pond just before eight Wednesday night.

His death has been ruled accidental.
