Home garden growing pot discovered

May 29, 2008

Thomasville-- Narcotics agents busted 51-year-old Albert Williams, Jr. after finding 67 marijuana plants growing in his yard around his house.

Agents say he was growing them nearby so he could water them often and had been for quite a while.  "He had numerous other plants in potters, so he had them intermingled in between so if the common person didn't know what marijuana looked like it wouldn't alert you to it," said Kevin Lee, TCSO Narcotics Vice Commander.

Lee says the plants were from six inches to three feet in height and were worth $65,000.
