Albany - Water, Gas, and Light will contribute $150 Million for a multi-billion dollar nuclear power plant expansion. WG&L committed to buy 25-mega watts of power from two new units being built at plant Vogtle.
When the first cell is complete in 2016, Water, gas and light will sell that power for the next 20 years.
That east Georgia plant already has two nuclear reactors. Nuclear power is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to dirty coal burning plants.
