Albany-  Three suspects are in jail charged with shooting a man during a home invasion at a northwest Albany apartment complex Tuesday.

Albany Police Investigators hit the streets overnight armed with warrants for 18-year old David Mobley Gainer, 19-year old Michael DeShon Douglas, and 22-year old Adrian Allen Ward.

They were arrested about 5:30 Wednesday morning. They're charged with aggravated assault and burglary in an attack on 31-year old Shocothan Smith at Shoreham Apartments shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Smith was shot in the head and remains in critical condition. Police say they're still not sure whether this was a random act of violence or if the suspects knew the victim.
