Robbers scared off by fire alarm

May 28, 2008

Albany -- A fire alarm thwarted an armed robbery at an Albany Burger King early Wednesday morning.

Two men wearing ski masks burst into the Burger King on Dawson Road just after midnight, when an employee opened the door to go home.

There were six employees in the restaurant, and they set off the fire alarm as they ran out the back door.

 That scared off the gunmen.

Police are now looking to see if these are the same two men who robbed the North Slappey Subway eight days ago.
