Valdosta High- Valdosta High scores a run in the top of the ninth to beat Walton 4-3 in game two of their AAAAA semifinal series.
Walton won game one 3-0 behind the pitching of Mark Pope.
The Cats scored three runs in the first.
Valdosta starter Kyle Rowe allowed two runs in the fifth and the Raiders tied the game with a steal of home in the seventh.
Game three is Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Bazemore Field.
If Valdosta wins game three, the Wildcats will host Brookwood in the state championship series that would start on Friday.
Adel - Lovett Lions are in the AA state championship game.
Lovett swept a doubleheader from Cook Monday in Adel.
The Lions scored three runs in the seventh to win game one 4-1.
Lovett took game two 7-1.
Cook High coach Bob Owsley says it has still been a great season for the Hornets after they had to replace six starters from last year's team.
