Albany--The Parks at Chehaw beat out several other zoos across the globe for an impressive ranking.

The Chehaw Wild Animal Park was recently chosen as one of the world's top 50 Champions of Data Quality.

The International Species Information System is comprised of more then 700 organizations that use the computerized record keeping system.

Chehaw gained the ranking for how they keep those records and how up to date they are.

"It's a computerized system so anytime we have any changes in our collection we get a new animal in we send an animal out, an animal was born, we put those into the computerized system called the International species inventory system," said Doug Porter, Chehaw Executive Director.

ISIS has been around for 34 years, providing zoos with data collection and sharing software.
