May 23, 2008 Albany -- Albany police picked up a man carrying rifle near a northwest Albany restaurant Friday.
Police say a patrol officer noticed the suspicious man with a long object in a garbage bag. It turned out 55-year-old Robert Lee Demps Junior had a rifle in the bag.
He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and taken to jail. Police are still investigating just what Demps may have been up to.
