Albany - Deerfield-Windsor's Justin Lott showed his versatility in the opening game of the Knights semifinal series with Stratford.
Lott hit three homeruns, one a grand slam, in the Knights 11-1 win over the Eagles in five innings.
Lott was also the winning pitcher.
He gave up just two hits and had seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
His two-hitter comes after he threw a no-hitter in the second round against George Walton.
Justin though struggled at the plate in that series and his three homerun performance was just what he needed.
Justin Lott said "It was a tough series for me at the plate against George Walton. So, just coming out and doing this is a big boost of confidence."
Deerfield-Windsor coach Rod Murray said "When you win like this in a shortened game, it gives you a little bit of rest for your kids but at the same time you have got to make sure you pay attention that it is a series and you have got win two out of there. that is what we have to be focused on."
