A shooting on Albany's eastside Thursday afternoon sent 22-year old Moses Jerome Lewis to the hospital.

Lewis was shot in the leg while standing in the 1700 block of Clark Avenue.  He's recovering from his wound and police are questioning the man they think shot Lewis.

APD spokesperson Phyllis Banks-Whitley said:  "Right now officers are combing the area searching for evidence as well as additional witnesses"

Police are still sorting out just what happened and were not able to provide a possible motive in the shooting.

Traffic on Clark Avenue backed up for about one-half mile while police were on the scene.
