Valdosta - Valdosta High School Principal Brett Stanton has resigned to become Superintendent of a school system northwest of Atlanta.
According to the Haralson County web site, "the Haralson County Board of Education named Mr. Brett Stanton as the new Superintendent for Haralson County Schools on Monday, May 19, 2008.
Mr. Stanton will officially begin his new appointment on July 1, 2008.
He will be visible in the school system beginning in June and has made plans to meet with administrators, teachers, and the community in an effort to introduce himself to Haralson County as he prepares to take office.
It is with great enthusiasm that the Board and employees of the school system welcome Mr. Stanton to the Haralson County team!
