Valdosta - E. Keller Wilcox is set to be released from prison.
Wilcox went to prison in 1982 after being convicted of killing his father's secretary, Hellen Hanks.
Hanks disappeared in 1972 - her body was found buried in a field eight years later - in 1980.
Wilcox, who was 21 at the time of the murder, was convicted of killing her and sent to prison. In a confession letter, Wilcox said the two got in an argument and he killed her after he lost his temper.
He will be released from prison next Wednesday. However he's been banned from Lowndes County and from having contact with the Hanks family.
