May 21, 2008

Dawson - One day after their high school soccer careers ended, Terrell Academy teammates Morgan Donaldson and Julie Davis are looking forward to moving to the college level.

Julie Davis and Morgan Donaldson will continue as teammates in college.

Davis and Donaldson signed scholarships to play at nearby Andrew College in Cuthbert Wednesday morning.

Davis scored 34 goals for the Lady Eagles this season.

Donaldson had 17 goals and 21 assists. Besides soccer, Davis and Donaldson were also all-star players for the Terrell Academy soccer and softball teams.

Both are looking forward to seeing how good they can become focusing all of their attention on one sport.

Morgan Donaldson said "Soccer has always been my passion. That means alot to me. I think i can help out the team. I think it is big step for me."

Julie Davis said "This year I feel like I have really excelled. Me and Morgan both have really excelled in it and I think we have made the right choice for ourselves."

Terrell Academy won the region 3-AA championship this spring and made it to the state semifinals for just the second time in school history.
