In the last hour, we learned that a legendary figure in Georgia politics from Albany died Tuesday night.
Hamilton Jordan was a political strategist for Jimmy Carter and served as his chief of staff in the White House.
The 63-year old died at his home in Atlanta after a long battle with cancer.
His battle with cancer began 22-years ago.
I spoke on the phone just a few minutes ago with Dougherty County attorney Spencer Lee who grew up with Jordan and remained a close friend.
He called Jordan a "front line" person in Jimmy Carter's presidential campaign and said he was as important as anyone other than Carter himself in getting Carter elected president.
Jordan's memorial service will be Friday in Atlanta.
We're just over a week away from the annual Albany Christmas parade, and this year organizers need your help.
The Festival of Christmas Trees began Friday in Sycamore. Their goal is to spread holiday cheer by giving back to the community.
