Albany - Albany City commissioners put their support behind an effort to extend Westover Boulevard to Ledo Road.
Tuesday, Commissioners approved a joint resolution between the city of Albany and Lee County. It states that both governments support the extension, and they will fully cooperate with the Georgia Department of Transportation during the extension project.
The plan is to extend Westover from near the Albany Mall, under the bypass, to Ledo Road near WalMart to help alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
