Greensboro, N.C. - Leesburg's Buster Posey will college win some major awards now that the college baseball season is over.
The hardware started rolling in Monday when the Atlantic Coast Conference coaches voted Buster Posey the ACC's player of the year.
Posey is the second consecutive Florida State player to win the ACC player of the year award.
Valdosta's J.D. Drew was the first in 1997.
The Florida State catcher leads the ACC in ten categories and his 471 batting average is tops in the nation.
Buster Posey is also a first team all-ACC selection at catcher for a second straight year and last week was named a semfinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy and Johnny Bench Award.
FSU teammates Jack Rye and Elih Villanueva also made the first team.
Shortstop Tony Delmonico and pitcher Matt Fairel were second team all conference selections.
Georgia Tech outfielder Charlie Blackmon is one of four Yellow Jackets to earn second team all-conference honors
