Seminole County, GA (WALB) - It was a terrifying night on the lake for six boaters near Donalsonville.
Between 7:30 and 8:00Saturday night, a boat left the water and hit a tree at Lake Seminole, and crashed into a tree.
Two people were airlifted to a Tallahassee hospital where they remain. Two other were taken to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan. One person remains hospitalized there, while the other was treated and dismissed.
The remaining two people were treated and released from the hospital in Donalsonville.
The Department of Natural Resources is continuing its investigation. They would not release the names of the injured or details of the wreck.
Someone on a passing boat was instrumental in getting the six people to a boat landing for treatment.
Pictures of that boat sent in by viewer Lisa McCracken show the bow seemingly split in half from the impact.
