Albany -- The Deerfield-Windsor girls soccer team advanced to the GISA state semifinals with a 5-4 win over Stratford Saturday afternoon.
Lacey Kincheloe scored three goals, including the game winner with about six minutes left in the match.
Shelby Cosby and Ivy Puckett also scored for the Lady Knights.
Stratford had eliminated Deerfield three of the past four years.
Head coach Tony Voyles says, "These girls are good for the fight. We got down a goal, and still came back. They pulled even again, and we still had fight in us. They know how to win."
The Terrell Academy baseball team is in the Class-A Final Four after a sweep of Robert Toombs, and Westwood joins the Eagles after upsetting Nathanael Greene.
Terrell beat the Crusaders 19-9 and 9-0 Saturday in Dawson, and will host Flint River next week.
The Westwood Wildcats won 6-4 on the road to advance to the next round.
Southland Academy would not be so lucky at North Cobb.
After winning game one Friday, the Raiders would be swept out of the playoffs, losing 10-3 and 5-4.
It's the third straight year Southland has been eliminated by North Cobb, all in the same fashion.
