Albany - One of the big reasons Darton has won three straight national junior college titles has been their depth.
Case in point is Tift County's Chesley Gunn.
Gunn was the number five man last year.
That meant he was the first Cavalier on the course.
Coach Dale Dover could always count on Gunn to post a low enough score to count in case one of the other four players had an off day.
This year, Gunn is higher up in the order but his game plan is still the same.
Chesley Gunn said "If I had a chance to go for something , I probably wouldn't just because I knew they were counting on me to post a solid number. This year you can't get too aggressive because that is not my game. Hopefully, I can go out and make some putts. That is all I can do."
Darton tees off in the national junior college golf tournament Tuesday in Phoenix, Arizona.
