Albany -- There was some hot competition between local law officers Wednesday. Cops traded their guns for grills at the 5th Annual Bar-B-Que Cook-off.

Officers from APD, DCP, the Sheriff's office, Drug unit and school police compete to see who can cook the best ribs, chicken and wings.

Not only does it make for some good eating, but the officers enjoy each other's company.

"Each year it grows bigger and bigger. I think people enjoy just walking around and meeting people who they see everyday, away from work," says Sgt. Victor Camp of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit.

They started cooking at six this morning and yours truly had the tough job of judging the contest.

It was close, but the Chilling and Grilling BBQ team of Albany Police Officers won.
