Mitchell County -- One man is dead tonight, after an early afternoon wreck in Mitchell County.
State Troopers say 54-year-old Alfonzo Wheeler lost control of his Chevrolet Silverado on a curve on Highway 93, south of Highway 112, a little after two o'clock Monday afternoon.
Wheeler was ejected from the truck when it slammed into a tree. Wheeler was originally from Miami, but lived in Baconton.
