Leesburg -- The Lee County baseball team is in the second round of the GHSA state playoffs, after taking two of three game from Evans this weekend.
The Trojans are looking to match last season's success, when they played in the state final four, but first up will be Starr's Mill.
The Panthers have a strong program, and swept Northside Warner Robins in the opening round, but have fallen in the second round each of the past two seasons.
The Trojans play the best-of-three series on their home field, and head coach Rob Williams says that's a big advantage.
"It's always great to be right here in Lee County," says Williams. "We have some of the best fans anywhere, and you can't say enough about them."
The last series Lee County will play on its home field this season, unless the Trojans advance to the state finals.
Lee county hosts Starr's Mill in a double-header Wednesday at five o'clock.
