Albany -- Lee County advanced to the second round of the GHSA playoffs by beating Evans 5-2 in game 3 on Saturday.

The Trojans host Starr's Mill in a double-header Wednesday at 5pm.

Worth County fell 10-5 in game three at Harlem.

Crisp County beat Liberty County 8-3, and Thomas County Central crushed Effingham 21-4 in 4-innings.

Tift County was eliminated 6-2 at Camden County, and Fitzgerald came from behind to beat Swainsboro 10-9.

Baconton scored seven times in the bottom of the 7th to win 7-6 at Claxton.

The Blazers will play at Pacelli, after the Vikings eliminated Turner County 14 to 4 in five innings.

Deerfield-Windsor cruised through its opening round match-up in the GISA, crushing Augusta Prep 18-0 in three innings to advance to the second round.

At the college level, Darton's season came to an end, after they lost twice in the in the GJCAA tournament in Douglas.

The Cavliers lost their first game 9-4 against Young Harris, after the Mountain Lions blew open a 4-4 game with five runs in the top of the 8th inning.

Playing in the losers bracket, Darton would jump out to a 2-0 lead on South Georgia, but the host Tigers win 16-6 in six innings.

South Georgia and Young Harris play in the championship game Sunday at 2pm.
