Albany -- It's time to help Stamp Out Hunger.

Can do Saturday is coming up this weekend.

The National Association of Letter Carriers and the Postal Service want you to help feed those in need. If you put canned food items out at your mailbox, they'll pick them up and make sure they're delivered to ten area agencies that feed or distribute food to those in need.

Food Drive Coordinator Mike Freitas said "when you really get involved with this, and see the need, you have the satisfaction of helping out."

Last year Albany area letter carriers raised more than 20,000 pounds of food items, and hope to raise more this year, because the need is greater.

That's this Saturday, put food items in a bag by your mail box, and help others in the community.
