Sarah Pearson signs with Andrew College softball

Leesburg -- Lee County catcher Sarah Pearson signed on Tuesday morning to play softball at Andrew College next year.

Pearson was part of a Lady Trojans team that finished 20-13 this past season, winning the region 1-AAAA title, and advanced to the Elite Eight.

The Lee County senior says staying close to home to play with the Lady Tigers is a major plus.

"I really like the junior college atmosphere of it," says Pearson. "The softball program seems really nice, and I'm looking forward to it."

Andrew College finished 1-19 in the conference last year.
