Camilla -- The Baconton Charter tennis program is so new, the Blazers don't even have tennis courts at the high school, but that hasn't stopped the team from advancing to the state final four.

Baconton practices at the Mitchell County Tennis Center, as they prepare for the schools first trip to the state semifinals.

The Blazers have only had a tennis program for three years, and are the first public school to ever make it to the Class-A Final Four.

Baconton is still searching for its first state championship in any sport, and Blazers head coach Lynwod Griner is hoping title number one comes in tennis.

"It would be indescribable how good that would feel," says Griner. "These guys have worked very hard, and they sure deserve it this year."

Baconton has four players undefeated in Class-A this season.
