VPD releases security video to catch crook

Valdosta - Police in Valdosta a releasing security video from a robbery last week. They hope the community may help them solve the crime.

The video shows a man robbing a mom and pop convenience store on Lee Street.

He went into Eddie and Betty's Food Mart just after 12:30 PM on May 2nd, strong armed the clerk and took money from the register.

He wasn't covered up and was wearing what appears to be a Bob Marley t-shirt.

"He is not wearing a mask and he has on a very distinct t-shirt that he has on also. So they may recognize the shirt and not the person or they may know where the shirt was sold.Anything could help if they could just let us know," says Lt. Bobbi McGraw of the Valdosta Police Department.

Police are asking anyone who may recognize this man or know anything about the robbery to call the crime tip line.
