Valdosta - A child was found wandering near Interstate-75 in Lowndes County.

Now, his mother is facing charges.

Candace Harris is charged with cruelty to children.

Deputies say her four-year-old son was found barefoot on Madison Highway near exit 11.

They believe he wandered off while Harris was sleeping.

The child was not injured.
