Darton rallies to beat ABAC in wild fashion

May 4, 2008

Albany -- After losing Game 1 of a three game series with ABAC Friday night, and a rainout postponing the action Saturday, the Darton College baseball team faced a major challenge Sunday:  Win both games of a double header, or watch the season come to an end.

The Cavaliers would get it done, beating the Stallions 8-6 and 12-11.

Darton led 10-7 headed into the 9th inning of Game 2, before ABAC scored four times to take an 11-10 lead.

The Cavs would rally in the bottom of the 9th, as Roscoe Walls homered to tie it at 11, and later Trent Dooly drove in Luis Cintron with two outs to win the game.

Darton now moves on to play Young Harris in the Region XVII tournament Friday at South Georgia College.
