Plane crash in Sumter County kills three

Sumter County--  We're still gathering details on a small, single engine plane crash that killed three people.

It happened before 7 Saturday night at SoutherField, the public aviation airport just three miles northeast of Americus. So far we know three people were killed and authorities have positively identified two of the bodies.

Families are still being notified. There's no word on where the plane was headed or where it was coming from.
