Birmingham, Al. - Leesburg's Bradley Abell finished his college career at West Georgia with one of his best seasons.
His good season on the field was noticed by coaches in the Gulf South Conference who voted Bradley Abell to the first team Gulf South Conference Eastern Division baseball team.
The former Darton Cavalier and Lee County Trojan batted .353 this season with 10 homeruns
Bradley Abell led West Georgia in hits and runs batted in.
The Wolves finished the season 28-23.
Valdosta State's designated hitter Daniel Muniz, outfielder Blaine Wilson and pitchers Justin Lamb, Will Thompson and Glen Lemke were also first team east division picks.
Blazer catcher Chase Blackwood and shortstop Jon Koenigsfeld were second team selections.
The east division champion Valdosta State baseball team plays Harding in the first round of the Gulf South Conference tournament Saturday in Millington, Tennessee.
