Albany -- A 15-year old girl is now charged with setting a fire in the Albany High School gym Wednesday.

Her schoolmates told investigators and surveillance video confirmed she set fire to some clothes in a gym shower stall.

The fire didn't do much damage, but the school was evacuated while the smoke cleared. School police say they won't tolerate such mischief. Dougherty Co. School Police Chief Troy Conley said "It's a possibility. It's getting close to the end of the school year, and kids have a tendency to do things that are out of the norm. The case yesterday was a prime example."

The suspect is charged with felony first degree arson and disrupting school. She spent last night at the Regional Youth Development Center.
