Albany -- Albany High School was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after someone started a fire in the gym.

Students stood outside while firefighters used fans to clear smoke around 1:30.

Investigators say someone set a pile of clothes on fire in the locker room next to the gym. Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief A. L. Dyer said  "one of the kids took some clothes and put it in one of the shower stalls. It didn't have a head on it. And set them on fire. I think they extinguished it before we got here."

Firefighters say the fire didn't cause any damage, just created a lot of smoke.
