Fullerton receives Sims' endorsement

April 24, 2008

Albany --  It's official. Water, Gas, and Light Board member Carol Fullerton will run for the House of Representatives District 151 seat.

That seat is being vacated by Representative Freddie Powell Sims who running for the Senate.   Fullerton addressed a crowd of supporters, friends, and family members in front of the City Government building Thursday.

Representative Freddie Powell Sims encouraged Fullerton to seek her vacated seat because the two have been friends for 30 years.

"I've seen her hard work and her dedication to her community. She does volunteer work she's served on board for the state so she's a natural, just a real natural, plus we work together very, very well," said Sims.

The two hope to partner up again next year under the gold dome in Atlanta. They also plan to support each other throughout the elections.
