Valdosta - The Mayor and City Council in Valdosta are serving up a special luncheon for city employees.

Mayor John Fretti, City Manager Larry Hanson and several city councilman swapped there pens for serving spoons.

It's part of an annual lunch where they can say thank you to the men and women who keep the city going.

"Each year we look forward to it as council people. It's an opportunity to say to the employees of the city of Valdosta how much we appreciate the job that they do," says Councilman Willie Head.

Several left with more than a full belly.

Community vendors offered dozens of door prizes as their way to say thank you as well.
