Dublin - Darton College will try to win a second state tournament title in three years this weekend.
Darton opens state tournament play Friday afternoon in Dublin against the winner of an earlier game between South Georgia and ABAC.
The Lady Cavaliers finished the season tied for the best record in the region with 16 wins.
Unfortunately two of their four region losses were to Georgia Perimeter which knocks Darton down to the second seed.
First year coach David Dews says forget about the seeding because any of the six teams can win the title Sunday.
David Dews said "We are 16-4 and we got the top conference record in the state with Perimeter. So, of course I feel like they have responded and done well for us."
The winner of the the Georgia Junior College tournament qualifies for the national tournament in May.
