Albany - Any high school athlete would be considered to have had a great track and field career with six state championships.
Deerfield-Windsor's Kelly Conway has won six state titles in track and cross-country and she still hasn't finished her sophomore year.
Kelly Conway is looking to add her list of state titles when the GISA state track meet begins Thursday afternon at Hugh Mills Stadium.
Kelly this year is looking for the hat trick for a second straight year.
After winning the 1600 meter run as an eighth grader, Kelly won the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs last year as a freshman.
She also has won two state titles in cross-country.
The problem with all of those titles is she will have a bullseye on her back from fellow competitors this weekend.
Kelly Conway said "It definitely puts a lot more pressure on you. There is a lot more people that want to beat you. There is a lot more pressure on you to perform well."
Kelly Conway will run her first event in the 1600 meter run tomorrow on the first day of the GISA state track meet.
She will run the 800 meter Friday evening after the field events.
She runs the 3200 meters during the track event finals on Saturday at Hugh Mills Stadium.
