Valdosta - Some students at Valdosta State University are cooking up some ways to help a fellow classmate.
The students of the Athletic Training Program are holding a bake sale this week to raise money for sophomore Amber O'Quinn, a class member who was just diagnosed with a brain tumor.
They say O'Quinn is on leave now getting medical treatment and they hope the money they raise will help her cover the costs.
And they plan to do everything they can to continue helping her out.
"As much success as we've had with this one, I think it'd definitely be a possibility to try and do this again. We are just kind of short on time right now with the end of the semester but maybe next semester. The bills will still be there," says Junior Carrie Rahn.
The class will continue selling the treats until 12:00 PM Thursday at the VSU P.E. Complex.
