Albany -   Carol Fullerton plans to run for the House District 151 seat vacated by Albany State Representative Freddie Powell Sims.

Sims is planning to run for Senate and Fullerton said Sims asked her to run.  She said after talking it over with her family and getting positive feedback from the community, she made her decision.

"I feel very good about that and we had a meeting with some leadership in both the black and white community yesterday and I feel really good about the support from that," said Fullerton.

Fullerton previously served on the Albany City Commission, but was turned out of office by the voters after she voted in favor of a pay raise for herself and other commissioners.
