Albany - Mitchell County is ready to serve up some great tennis, food and family fun this weekend.
The 33rd annual Mitchell County Pro Tennis Invitational starts on Friday.
The event, which has raised more than a million dollars for several charities in Mitchell County, was honored last year with the prestigious service award from the United States Tennis Association.
It is an honor that usually goes to program in major cities.
The USTA impressed with a tournament that attracts top players who besides playing tennis will also be conducting clinics for local players this weekend.
Eddie Williamson said "We have got as usual the top senior players in the world from six or eight different countries. We have Davis Cup players, former number one junior player in the world from Yugoslavia. He played for the Davis Cup."
The Mitchell County Pro Tennis Invitational starts Friday and runs through Sunday at the Mitchell County Tennis Center in Camilla.
