Albany -- Just after 8:30 Wednesday morning a car and a man on a bicycle collided at the corner of Gillionville and Lowell Lane.
Police say Leroy Morris was riding his bike west on Gillionville when he was struck by a red Volvo station wagon, driven by Dawn Burnett, age 25, smashing into its windshield.
Burnett was attempting to make a left turn onto Lowell Lane, and Morris was traveling west bound on Gillionville Road and had the right of way.
Morris was alert and conscious when EMS arrived. He was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for further observation.
Burnett has been charged with failing to yield while turning left and with having an expired tag.
Leroy Morris' body smashed into the windshield of the car.
