Albany --  Senator Michael Meyer Von Bremen addressed Dougherty County Rotary ten years ago when he was running for his Senate seat. Tuesday, he addressed the group again to talk about his last legislative session.

Senator Meyer Von Bremen talked about some of the items lawmakers did address like strengthening dog fighting legislation and offering incentives and promoting products made in Georgia.

He said he's proud of securing funding for Albany Technical College's Logistics Education Center because of what it could mean for the logistics base during future BRAC discussions.

"Good budgetary items for southwest Georgia that I saw, so those were some pluses, especially for Albany Technical College, that they have the funding now in the budget to do something for the logistics center meant a lot to me," said Meyer von Bremen.

The Senator said he was disappointed the legislature didn't take action to fix highway and transportation issues in Metro Atlanta.
