Nashville - The Valdosta State softball program is one of the tops in Division II.
The Lady Blazers likely will stay at the top when they sign players like Berrien High's Victoria Littlefield.
Littlefield was the AA player of the year last fall when she was a big reason Berrien finished state runner-up.
Littlefield had a outstanding senior season with a .451 batting average, four homeruns and she drove in 42 runs.
Littlefield says she has attended many VSU softball games and the Lady Blazers usually win under head coach Thomas Macera.
Victoria Littlefield "I have been to a few hitting and fielding lessons with some of his players. They teach the same thing he (Thomas Macera) does. It is real exciting and obviously they know what they are doing."
Victoria Littlefield and Berrien High teammate Ivy McCranie have been selected to play in the GACA all-Star softball game this summer.
