Albany - Randolph-Southern's gym in Shellman is called "The Barn because it is a scene straight from the movie "Hoosiers."

Lady Patriot guard Samantha Worthy says she will miss playing in "The Barn."

Worthy will have to get used to the plush surroundings of Cavalier Arena.

Samantha Worthy signing a scholarship to play for Laura Blackwell's Darton College team on Friday afternoon.

Samantha Worthy is a two time all state player in the GISA and led the Lady Patriots to the region title and final four appearance this season.

Samantha Worthy said "It shows there are private school kids who work hard and can make it to this level and farther.  The recognition means a lot."

Samantha Worthy is the first Randolph-Southern girls basketball player to sign a scholarship since current Darton assistant Adrian Hixon did in 1999.
